Tasting note
The Brugal 1888 matures for 6-8 years in American ex-bourbon oak barrels. This is followed by a second aging for 2-6 years in Spanish sherry barrels. These are the same barrels that are used to mature The Macallan whiskeys and provide a particularly smooth and full-bodied taste experience
Culinary recommendation
Pure at 18-20°C or on ice
Vinification
Double aging — first in American bourbon barrels and then in Spanish sherry barrels.
