About the product
Distelleria Bottega was founded in 1977 by Rosina and Aldo Bottega and has worked its way up to become one of the most renowned distilleries in Italy over the last 30 years. In the 1980s, the house became known for its innovative distillation process, which made it possible to reduce the alcohol content. This gives Bottega Grappa its subtlety and mildness. Grappa fumé gets its excellent aroma from smoked barrels in which the grappa matures. Rosina Zambon Bottega, known to many as “Rosy”, launched the renowned “Premio Bottega”, an award that honors outstanding personalities from the fields of culture and sport for their life's work.

Vinification
The pomace obtained from green-yellow grapes is very aromatic and is distilled even fresher and fruitier using the Sandro Bottega method. This is a vacuum distillation that is carried out at reduced pressure (vacuum). As a result, the boiling temperature decreases and more of the fine aromas are retained. After distillation, this grappa is stored in stainless steel tanks for a few months.
