Tasting note
The Derechero is ruby red in color, clear and intense. Its vivid colors contain an elegant range of aromas of strawberries and raspberries, which blend harmoniously with nuances of caramel and toffee.
Culinary recommendation
Wonderful with beef — from steaks to stroganoff to tartare or slow-cooked roast from the oven. Goes well with various types of blue cheese — from Gorgonzola to Roquefort to Blue Stilton.
Vinification
The Derechero de Muniesa, a unique autochthonous grape variety, grows at an altitude of 800 meters in the Teruel region of Aragón. The vineyards are located in Muniesa, 20 km from Bodegas TEMPORE. Cultivated on loamy soils and in a cold, extreme climate, the wine undergoes careful fermentation with only local yeasts and minimal intervention. After a gentle pressing, the Derechero matures in French barriques for 6 months.
