About the wine
From the 1998 vintage, for the first time, a small part of the harvest was aged over 8 months in new French barriques. This offers a stronger version of Watter Blauburgunder, which - similar to Burgundy - goes well with various dishes.

Tasting note
Dark ruby. In the bouquet, raspberry and strawberry jam with a touch of vanilla. Broad, powerful palate with smooth, well-integrated tannin.
Culinary recommendation
It goes very well with fried foods, stews, e.g. meat birds in vegetable sauce or with game in any preparation method.
