About the wine
At Scheiblhofer, people act very self-confident. The company's claim is simply “The Wine.” Even the founder of the company, Johann, provocatively called his best red “Big John.” Irony of the story: The etiquette is adorned with the Great Bustard, a giant bird native to Andau.

Tasting note
Black berry fruit, cherries, cassis, with hints of tobacco and caramel. Juicy, round, sweet blackberries and nougat with tannin and roasted aromas in the aftertaste.
Culinary recommendation
With red meat, grilled meat and game dishes as well as hard and soft cheeses.

12 months barrique; 60% new and 40% used barrels
