About the wine
The winemaker from the Italian winery Castello Banfi absolutely masters his craft. Elegance and finesse are the characteristics of this red wine, which originated in the fertile and blooming Tuscan countryside. This outstanding Sangiovese 2013 — Belnero Toscana IGT is a hit right down to the last drop in the truest sense of the word! Tasting note
Dark ruby red. Complex on the nose with notes of cherries, caramel, tobacco and fine roasted notes. Fresh and elegant palate with present acidity, aromas of red berries, black tea and leather. A modern wine with a fairly long finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with spicy pasta, pizza as well as Parmigiana di aubergine.
Vinification
The grapes are fermented in steel tanks and aged in French barriques for around 14 months. The wine is then aged in the bottle for several months.
