This provocative Grenache 2016 — Bellmunt blanco DOQ is a triumph down to the last drop in the truest sense of the word! The landscape in Catalonia is barren, whose breath-taking expanses don't fit on a postcard, but in a bottle. With a lot of feeling and experience, the winemaker from the Spanish winery Mas d’en Gil ensures that his craft inspires and convinces you. Tasting note
“Le petit blanc,” Marta Rovira affectionately calls the youngest plant in her wine family, which expresses in its entire being the terroir of the Bellmunt wine-growing community in the Priory. The nose reveals a variety of aromas that suggest fruits (orange, apricot, peach), orange blossoms, rose scents and mineral notes (slate). And a nuance of balsamic aromas sets an unexpected end. The interplay of fresh fruit and ripe texture on the palate is immediately pleasing and develops over the course, which is sustainable, straight and elegant into the lasting finale.
