Tasting note
On the nose, elegant aromas of blackcurrants, plums, violets, cedarwood, tobacco and fine roasted aromas. Powerful, structured and precise on the palate, with ripe fruit, a dense tannin structure, lively acidity and sophisticated elegance on the finish. The wine is already showing its depth, but needs some aging time to develop its full potential.
Culinary recommendation
Perfect with entrecote, braised beef, crowned lamb, game dishes, truffle pasta, aged Comté or Gruyère. Also ideal as an elegant menu companion for festive occasions.
Vinification
Selective manual harvesting, temperature-controlled maceration, followed by aging in barriques (approx. 30—40% of which are new) over 12—16 months. Château Belgrave is working increasingly sustainably and integrates modern precision work in the vineyard with classic aging in the cellar.
