The name of this specialty is the program here. As a result of natural processes, the liquid in the grape berry evaporates, some red rot sets in, and the bouquet becomes an aromatic treasure chest: apricot, quince, pineapple, mango, ripe melon, raisins, candied fruit, orange blossoms and sweet spices (cinnamon). The sweetness on the palate is part of it, but without fruit acid, none of this would be anything. And that is the strength of this berry selection, which, after a first sweetness start, has a fruity acidity on the palate, which then continues through to the long finale. It is a pleasure to taste and enjoy such great wines, which are both rarities and specialities.
