About the wine
Christmas 2021 is just around the corner! Make the most of it with this dominant Pinot Noir 2018 — Beaune Grèves 1er cru ac! The loamy, slate soils in Burgundy form the breeding ground for this Pinot Noir. The winemaker from the French winery Domaine Jacques Prieur knows how to use them and delights us with this red wine. Tasting note
Medium ruby red with a fine water edge. On the nose, notes of red cherries, strawberries, fine spices and elegant wood. On the palate with a complex structure, polished, juicy tannins, ripe strawberries, elegant roasted aromas with lots of melting. Long finish with nice balance.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with oven-baked veal, grilled suckling pig, ripe French cheeses and wild boar jerky.
Vinification
After harvesting and strict selection by hand, the PINOT noir grapes are gently pressed and crushed. Fermentation takes place in large wooden vats. The young wine then matures in 228 liters of piècen for 24 months.
