About the wine
The property, located in the municipality of Neive, was formerly owned by the parish priest of the village (Monsù don Cogno). It was planted in 1951 and is now one of the oldest vineyards in the Barbaresco area in Neive, with vines that are 6 years old on average.

Tasting note
Ruby red color that tends to brick red as it ripens. Aromas of roses, violets, small berries with spicy notes of pepper, sometimes citrus. Elegant and strict taste, pleasant tannin persistence. Silky and long aftertaste, reminiscent of raspberry and blackcurrant jam.

Von den Flaschenpöstlern empfohlen: Basarin Barbaresco Riserva DOCG harmoniert bestens mit Pizza, Rindfleisch und Trüffelrisotto. Unsere Empfehlung: Der Rotwein schmeckt am besten bei leicht gekühlten 16°-18°C.
