About the wine
Monvigliero is unanimously considered one of the best individual locations in the Barolo area. The wines of this region are characterized by their independence and authentic character. The great elegance of these wines is particularly appreciated. This Barolo comes from Verduno, a lesser-known but increasingly appreciated Barolo community. It was presented for the first time in 2018. Einaudi has asked “Arte Povera” artist Stefano Arienti to design a label that reflects the character of the wine. He had the idea to name the work “Cavallo su Colonne” - horse on pillars. It symbolizes the pride, elegance and power of wine and is also a tribute to Renaissance artist Giulio Romano. There are six different labels. They are sold sequentially, starting with version number I until they sell out and then move on to the next version.
