About the wine
A few kilometers from Alba, in the heart of the Roero area, is the Azienda Agricola Malvirà near the town of Canale. A family business, as it says in an Italian picture book: The Damonte brothers grow quality wines on the farm that their father founded. The two share a passion for wine and complement each other wonderfully: Massimo is responsible for the vines and Roberto is responsible for the cellar. The whole family works together to produce wines from seven vineyards, which owe their characteristic mineral freshness to the typical sandy, calcareous soil.
Tasting note
Its typical color is very appealing. This wine delights with a versatile range of aromas including spicy notes, black berries and dried roses. These are supported on the palate by elegant tannins. Its complexity and remarkable structure make this Barolo an experience.
