Tasting note
The Barista Chardonnay is known for its lively, fruity profile, which often has notes of tropical fruits such as pineapple and citrus fruits as well as a rich, buttery texture due to oak aging.
Culinary recommendation
It can be drunk alone, but also with smoked chicken salad or grilled kingklip with parmesan pesto, mashed potatoes and lemon butter cream.
Vinification
The grapes for this slightly woody Chardonnay come from Robertson. The wine was partially fermented and matured in mostly second-filled oak barrels. A third of the wine was fermented and blended in stainless steel to ensure freshness and retain the sparkling citrus flavor that is so typical of Chardonnay.
