About the wine
Le Tende, the small winery owned by the Fortuna and Lucillini families, is located very close to Lake Garda. Around 120,000 bottles are produced annually, of which the lion's share is Bardolino and Bianco di Custoza. Mauro Fortuna is responsible for production and he sees his big challenge in creating Bardolino wines that have more expression and depth than what is commonly on the market under this name. Fortuna therefore focuses on the Corvina grape, the noblest of the red Verona varieties. His Bardolino, especially the Superiore, is always a bit more distinctive and expressive than the vast majority of plants that go under this name.
Tasting note
Soft coral red, on the nose a fresh, intense fruity scent of cherries, raspberries and strawberries with hints of cinnamon. Fine, soft, harmonious and dry in the mouth. A pink sato with character.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with antipasto, risotti and freshwater fish, to drink young.
Vinification
Short maceration on grape skins for 10-12 hours. Fermentation is then carried out in stainless steel tanks at 28°C.
