Vinification
It is the young version of Carmignano that comes with the same grapes (Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon) and with an addition of Canaiolo. The name comes from the old Medician hunting area, whose borders were defined by the “Muro del Barco Reale”. The Barco Reale di Carmignano is a fruity, fresh and immediate red wine that is vinified in steel and aged in large French oak barrels for 10 months. It takes its name from the ruins of an old Medici estate and represents a younger, lighter and more versatile version of Carmignano.
