Character, depth and elegance characterize the “Carlo”. This wine is produced exclusively in outstanding vintages with Barbera grapes, which best express the identity of the grape, and is the result of a patient aging process. With Carlo Alfieri, a dream comes true for Marchesi Alfieri: The winery is launching the 2015 vintage (an outstanding vintage for the Barbera grape) in a limited edition and with just 1,750 bottles. Complex, broad and enveloping bouquet that reveals a perfect balance between notes of ripe dark cherries and blackberries, with hints of coffee, cocoa and a light balsamic note. On the palate, it is full-bodied and well-structured, with a silky tannin structure and persistent aromas. Carlo Alfieri brings out the unique characteristics of our terroir to the full. This wine is only produced when it has reached the highest level of complexity and elegance.
