About the wine

Fontanabianca, a home rather than a company. People live here, love here, work here, since 1919, for generations and also together. The children and grandchildren of the founders, Aldo and Matteo Pola in the cellar, Bruno Ferro in the vineyard, do it the same today as before. Perhaps the wines are a little fresher and leaner, the cellar a little more modern, but that's about it. High prices or points aren't of interest here anyway. What counts is the typical taste of the autochthonous varieties, Barbera, Dolcetto, Nebbiolo or Roero Arneis - and you might add - of the autochthonous people. More regionality is not possible, from the simplest wine. And they're so proud of that. And that's why so popular and famous!
