About the wine
If we can offer something special for Christmas 2022, it is this outstanding red wine 2019 — Barbera d'Alba DOC Superiore Regiaveja. Sunny and blooming landscapes of Piedmont give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Bovio conjures up this red wine with refinement and sensitivity. Flaschenpöstler culinary tip: This Barbera is very good to serve with stews or hearty, dark meat.
Tasting note
Intense red color with purple reflections. On the nose, hints of dried fruit and balsamic notes. On the palate, it is very full-bodied but at the same time elegant with a very long finish thanks to its intense and very pleasant acidity.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with racy and spicy pasta dishes, red meat, stews, roasts and ripe hard cheeses.
