About the wine
The success story of Rocche dei Manzoni begins in 1974, when Valentino and Jolanda Migliorini left their Michelin-starred restaurant and purchased an 8th century farm in Monforte d'Alba in a prime location. With a lot of passion and “lavoro da certosino”, intensive work, they turned it into a model product whose reputation has become an integral part of the wine world. Their philosophy is the perfect combination of tradition and innovation. Rocche dei Manzoni today produces a range of high-quality wines, sparkling and dessert wines as well as grappes in five locations, which are famous far and wide.

Tasting note
A rich, balanced, sustainable wine of very dark black red. Plum, plum, ripe black berries and delicate dried fruits characterize the very strong bouquet. There are also some spicy (licorice, vanilla) and toasty aromas (chocolate, smoke, toast) as well as a touch of leather scent. The palate features juicy tannins, a very harmonious, full-bodied structure and the whole range of berries, dried fruit and stone fruit as well as the beautiful roasted aroma, complemented by a little clove.
