Tasting note
Bright ruby red with garnet reflections. Ripe cherries, warm spiciness and well-integrated roasted notes characterize the nose. Soft, elegant, juicy and intensely flavored on the palate with seductive notes of ripe, black fruit. Characterful and lingering.
Culinary recommendation
Wonderful with stews, lentils and sausages, but also with the classic tagliatelle al tartufo.
Vinification
The Barbera grapes come from the Falleto di Serralunga vineyard in the municipality of Alba. After harvesting and pressing the grapes, the mash is fermented in steel tanks. The young wine is aged in medium-sized wooden barrels for twelve months. This is followed by six months of bottle aging.
