About the wine
We have a special, outstanding red wine from 2014 for you, which is a source of enthusiasm among many wine connoisseurs. Picturesque and fertile landscapes of Piedmont give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Poderi Colla conjures up this red wine with refinement and sensitivity. Flaschenpöstler tip: Combine this Barbera with pasta or hearty, dark meat.

Tasting note
Intense, rich ruby with purple reflections. On the nose, a wonderfully open, complex scent with lots of ripe fruit, red berries, especially strawberries, floral notes and fresh woody and roasted aromas. Beautifully full-bodied, meaty and juicy on the palate, with catchy tannins, lots of melting and an animating finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with a plate of pasta with ragù, soups and stews.
Vinification
The Barbera grapes come from our own Roncaglia estate. After the strictly selective hand harvest, the grapes are destemmed and slightly crushed immediately after arrival at the winery. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks, followed by aging in medium-sized oak barrels and barriques for around ten months.
