About the wine

Fontanabianca, a home rather than a company. People live here, love here, work here, since 1919, for generations and also together. The founders' children and grandchildren, Aldo and Matteo Pola in the cellar, Bruno Ferro in the vineyard, do it the same way they used to do it today. Perhaps the wines are a little fresher and leaner, a little more modern, the cellar, but that's about it. High prices or points are not of interest here anyway. What counts is the typical taste of the autochthonous varieties, Barbera, Dolcetto, Nebbiolo or Roero Arneis - and one might add - of the autochthonous people. More regionality is not possible, from the simplest wine. And they're so proud of that. And that's why it's so popular and famous!
