About the wine
For four generations, the Cigliuti winery has been managed by the Cigliuti family, today by Renato and Dina and their two daughters Claudia and Silvia. The extremely characterful, high-quality and long-lasting Cigliuti wines are considered an insider tip. The vines are carefully cared for by hand using natural methods and vinified in the sparkling clean cellar in the gentlest and most natural way possible. It is not for nothing that Renato Cigliuti and his wines are described as legendary by well-known producer colleagues in the Barbaresco region.
Tasting note
A balanced, rich and fruity red wine. Brick red. Open, medium-bodied bouquet with a certain complexity. Some stone fruit (cherry, plum, plum), dried fruit (dried plum, dried apricot). Very slight mineral notes. Dry on the palate. The structure is quite soft, full-bodied and harmonious. Shows some tannin, which is absolutely typical of Nebbiolo wines, elegant after ventilation. A lot of ripe fruit in the back smell again. Medium-long finish.
