About the wine
This outstanding Nebbiolo 2014 — Barbaresco DOCG Riserva Pora is a hit right down to the last drop in the truest sense of the word! The fertile and picturesque landscapes of Piedmont give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Produttori del Barbaresco conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience. The Flaschenpöstler guarantee a dining experience when you serve this Nebbiolo with prosciutto or beef.

Tasting note
Strong, rich ruby red. Almost exuberant scent of ripe wild strawberries, black cherries, some violets, dried rose petals and some undergrowth. Powerful and rich on the palate. The tannins are clearly noticeable, but are fine-grained and of good quality. Elegant, multi-layered structure. The aftertaste is long and aromatic. Promises good storage potential.
Culinary recommendation
It goes wonderfully with a brasato with truffle polenta or spicy hard cheese.
Vinification
The grapes from the Pora single vineyard are picked by hand and then fermented in steel tanks. The aging takes place in large wooden barrels for 36 months. This is followed by a further eight months of aging in the bottle. Only in particularly good years are these riservas produced from the top individual sites, which are among the best in the region.
