About the wine

The sunsets over the Ausario hills show the colors of passion, water, wind and sun… The vineyards draw their strength from all these elements, resulting in an elegant melody that gives rise to our dedication and work for wines, nature's last magical step. The company was founded in 1991 by Virginio Molino. Back then, together with his sons Tommaso, Franco and Dario, he decided to buy a small vineyard and a wine cellar to start the winemaking adventure. Today, Azienda Agricola Molino cultivates 16 ha of vineyards in Treiso, Guarene and Costigliole d'Asti. In addition to Tommaso, Dario and Franco Molino and his brother-in-law Stefano Capuccio, the third generation is already responsible for the winery with Marco (son of Thomaso). The Molino s have remained true to Virginia's quest to produce wines from local grape varieties (Nebbiolo, Barbera, Dolcetto, Arneis). Respect for tradition with the help of modern technology results in typical, intense Piedmontese wines.
