Barbaresco Basarin Vigna Gianmaté DOCG 2021 - Giacosa Fratelli

It was their master's examination, so to speak, when the young Giacosa, who, as sons of the Fratelli (brothers), now run the Azienda as Cugini (cousins), planted a new vineyard. In the bazaar, one of the historic Barbaresco sites, they were able to purchase a larger plot of land, Vigna Gianmaté, and have thus taken a further step to complement the range with high-quality products. It took eight years for the first wine to be ready for sale, astonishing for the outsider, a matter of course for the winemaker, a test of patience for the investor. It was worth it: Barbaresco Basarin Vigna Gianmaté has now become the figurehead of the Azienda and is highly rated by the press every year. And best of all: Like all Fratelli Giacosa wines, Vigna Gianmaté also has an unbeatable price/pleasure ratio.
