Tasting note
The Azara is an intense ruby red with purple reflections. Rich, almost perfume-like aromas of black berries, cherries, plums and sweet-spicy notes of licorice, mocha and dried herbs inspire the nose. On the palate, the wine is concentrated and full-bodied, with lots of dark fruit aromas, present and well-integrated tannins and an extremely long aftertaste of fruit and spice. A wine with a great personality, which is a lot of fun even at a young age but also has great aging potential.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with festive dishes such as chateaubriand or fondue chinoise, hearty meat dishes, Sunday roasts, game and cheese
Vinification
The Azara is dedicated to the great personality of the art-loving grandmother Zara. The grapes are picked by hand and fermented separately by variety at low temperatures. The resulting wines then mature mostly in French barriques for 14 months. It is then blended and, after further storage, the wine is bottled and sold after 6 months of bottle aging at the earliest.
