For many years, Josep Maria Albet i Noya has been looking for varieties that have a natural resistance to diseases and require little or no treatment with plant protection products. In an abandoned vineyard in Montañas de Ordal, he found a red, nameless variety, which he continued to pursue. Their grapes produced elegant red wines with soft tannins and a fresh profile. He baptized her with the name Belat, an anagram of Albet. It is an essential part of Aventurer tinto. Valentin Blattner's new breed VB 91-26-26 is there.
