About the wine

Guglielmo Gialdi founded Gialdi Vini SA in 1953 in Mendrisio, which is now managed by son Feliciano and thanks to his commitment is one of the top companies in Ticino viticulture. Thanks to continuous investments in the wineries in Mendrisio and Bodio, the company now vinifies a total of almost 1 million kilograms of grapes annually from over 300 winegrowers in the lower Leventina, the Riviera and the Blenio Valley. The wide range of Gialdi products consists primarily of wines from Sopraceneri. Some of the wine cellars are built into the mountains to make use of the circulating air currents in the Monte Generoso massif. In this ideal climate, the best Gialdi drops mature in barrique barrels.
