About the wine
The winemaker from the Spanish winery Bodegas Merayo is absolutely proficient in his craft. Elegance and finesse are the characteristics of this red wine, which originates in the beautiful and graceful landscape of the Duero Valley (Castilla y Leon). If we can offer something special for Christmas 2021, it's this dominant Shiraz — Aquiana Tinto. Flaschenpöstler tip: Pair this Shiraz with barbecue or roasted vegetables.

Tasting note
Intense, lively cherry red. Ripe fruit aromas, floral notes, elegant balsamic aromas such as licorice and spicy notes of black pepper and cloves. Strong on the palate, dense and ripe tannins, excellent balance between fruit aromas and woody aromas. Intense minerality, complex and long-lasting aftertaste.

Goes well with barbecues
Vinification
Fermentation in steel tanks, biological acid degradation in barriques. This is followed by a 12-month aging on fine lees in French barriques. Filling without a previous clarification process.
