About the wine
For Valentine's Day, we recommend the dominant Corvina 2018 — Amarone Vapolicella DOCG! With sensitivity and intuition, the winemaker from the Italian winery Kyrenia masters this white wine in the beautiful and blooming countryside in Veneto. Flaschenpöstler tip: Combine this Corvina with roasts or recent types of cheese.
Tasting note
Dark, strong Amarone red. Aromas of pickled black berries and cherries with notes of violets, full-bodied, juicy acidity, well-integrated tannin, finely bitter, long finish, distinctive, harmonious wine.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with red meat dishes made from game, lamb and beef, and aged cheese.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand and placed on trays to dry. The grapes are then pressed and fermented in concrete vessels. Finally, the wine is refined in Slavic oak barrels.
