Tasting note
Dark, intense ruby red. On the nose, complex aromas of ripe red fruits such as cherry and plum, combined with spicy notes of vanilla, tobacco and light cocoa. Full-bodied on the palate, with velvety tannins and well-integrated acidity. The finish is long and powerful, with an elegant finish.
Culinary recommendation
Perfect with hearty meat dishes such as roast beef, lamb or game. Also ideal with aged hard cheeses such as Parmigiano Reggiano or chocolaty desserts.
Vinification
The grapes are dried using the traditional Appassimento method to intensify the concentration of aromas. After fermentation, the wine ages in oak barrels for 24-36 months.
