Tasting note
Garnet red color. Winter months without Amarone are like winter without snow! The revealing scent is reminiscent of dried fruits and canned berries with a hint of licorice. It is easy to discover spicy, wintery aromas, such as plum or vanilla. On the palate, it is equally complex, again characterized by plums and berries. A powerful, aromatic food companion.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with hearty stews, wild peppers or spicy goulash, strong hard cheeses with dried fruit or fruit bread.
Vinification
The aging takes place in used oak barrels for 12 months and further aging in the bottle.
