About the wine
With the delicious Amarone della Valpolicella DOC Etichetta Nera from 2012, you will positively surprise your friends. With sensitivity and intuition, the winemaker from the Italian winery Musella masters this red wine in the beautiful and fertile countryside of Veneto.
Tasting note
Presented in a deep, intense ruby red. The nose reveals a complex bouquet of dried fruits, such as cherry and plum, as well as spicy notes of tobacco and chocolate. On the palate, the wine has a powerful structure with soft, well-integrated tannins and balanced acidity. The aftertaste is long and full-bodied, with a light, elegant sweetness typical of an Amarone.
Culinary recommendation
Perfect with aged cheese, game dishes or roast beef. This Amarone is also an excellent choice with hearty stews or hearty lasagna.
Vinification
Processed using the traditional Appassimento method, which involves drying them on reed mats over several months to concentrate the aromas. After fermentation, Amarone ages in oak barrels for at least 24 months to gain additional depth and complexity.
