About the wine
Amaren's Village Wine comes from plots in Samaniego, nestled in the foothills of the Sierra de Cantabria. At an altitude of 600 to 650 meters, the climate is getting cooler, and the pronounced temperature fluctuations between day and night shape both the character of the grapes and the personality of the wine. The average age of the vines is more than 45 years. The high quality of this terroir is also reflected in the recognition from renowned wine critics: The wine was awarded 91 points in Guía Peñín and 92 points from Tim Atkin.

Tasting note
Impresses with aromas of ripe red fruits, cherries and a touch of spice and vanilla. On the palate, it is powerful, well-structured and harmonious, with fine tannins and balanced acidity. The finish is long and round, with subtle notes of oak and chocolate.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with fine main courses and red meats.
Vinification
Aged for 12 months in 225 liter oak barrels (80%), 500 liter bocoys (10%) and concrete tanks (10%).
