About the wine
Bodega Amalaya is a winery in Cafayate and is owned by Bernese wine pioneer Donald Hess. The winery is known for excellent vineyards in the Calchaqui Valley, the highest wine-growing region in the world. The vineyards are located in an actual desert, which is why there is a fascinating interplay between hot days and cold nights. “Amalaya” means “hope of a miracle” in the language of the local Indians.

Tasting note
Light yellow color. A deliciously fragrant bouquet that reveals aromas of white flowers, lemongrass stems, limes and a touch of nutmeg. Gentle, fruit-sweet start, replaced by an engaging, fruity-exotic aroma, in addition to citrus fruits, lychee and some pineapple, playful and with a suitable freshness; crisp finish.
