About the wine
St. Michael-Eppan is a cooperative consisting of 350 winegrowers and is one of the largest and most successful wineries in South Tyrol. Despite its size, quality has been paramount since it was founded in 1907, which is why it is also one of the best winegrowers' cooperatives in the world today. The outstanding oenologist Hans Terzer has been managing the winery since 1977.

Tasting note
Deep ruby red, complex aromas of fresh wild berries, cherries, cocoa and coffee on the nose. Powerful and full-bodied on the palate with lots of freshness and ripe tannins. Long-lasting aftertaste with excellent aging potential.
Vinification
Fermentation in steel tanks. Followed by biological acid degradation and aging in barrique tonneau. After almost a year of assemblage. The wine is then aged for a further 10 months in large steel tanks.
