About the wine
St. Michael-Eppan is a cooperative consisting of 350 winegrowers and is one of the largest and most successful wineries in South Tyrol. Despite its size, quality has been paramount since it was founded in 1907, which is why it is also one of the best winegrowers' cooperatives in the world today. The outstanding oenologist Hans Terzer has been managing the winery since 1977.

Tasting note
Softly flowing, dense in aroma with a variety of aromas reminiscent of ripe, red fruits. Notes of ripe cherries and wild fruits. Dark, lively ruby red color with warm fruit of raspberries and rose hips with a supportive, fresh acidity. The tannins are very finely perceptible and well integrated.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with hearty dishes such as lamb meat, roasts, game dishes and spicy cheese.
Vinification
Fermentation in steel tanks. Followed by biological acid degradation and aging in large wood.
