About the wine
A famous trio around the Grand Dame of Italian viticulture - Elisabetta Foradori - took over this enchanted business in Roccatederighi in Maremma in 2002 Ampeleia: Preserve nature, create something new, wines of an incomparably complex, sensitive, elegance, where the spirit is more than the Body counts. Today, 40 hectares of different terroirs are farmed biodynamically at 200m to 650m, including Marco Tait in the cellar right from the start - noble restraint, spontaneous fermentation, minimal sulfurization, no filtration, cement instead of oak. The wines tell a lively and reflective story of their origins and develop - even when opened - into fascinatingly mature, noble personalities. Outstanding!
