About the wine
The Quinta das Marias is located in the heart of the Dão, the oldest DOC area in Portugal. The winery was founded in 1991 by Elisabeth and Peter Eckert. The two Swiss wine pioneers initially bought 4 hectares of land. Today, the charming Quinta covers 12 hectares in a prime location. The winery only grows autochthonous plants. Thanks to the excellent climatic conditions and the exceptional terroir, wines of first-class quality are produced. A showcase company from the Dão wine-growing region within a very short time.

Tasting note
Deep ruby red. Aromas of red fruits such as currant and red cherry. Very fresh on the palate, balanced acidity and light tannins. Long aftertaste.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with red meat, game dishes, large pieces of roast and leg of lamb. It can be a bit hearty.
