About the wine
Fertile and beautiful landscapes of the Upper Ebro give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Spanish winery Bodega Alegre Valgañon conjures up this red wine with refinement and sensitivity. Tasting note
Ruby red with aromas of black cherries, ripe raspberries, plums and violets, accompanied by subtle spicy notes such as pepper and cinnamon. On the palate, this Rioja appears juicy with fine, ripe tannins, yet fresh, balanced and never difficult — very accessible with a long aftertaste.

Vinification
The hand-picked grapes are first spontaneously fermented in stainless steel tanks with around 15% whole grapes. The Rioja is then aged for around 14 months in used barriques and 500-liter barrels as well as in 1,000 and 3,000 liter wooden barrels.
