About the wine
The Tuscan Antinori family bought the entire shares in the Chilean winery Haras de Pirque in the Maipo Valley in July 2017. There has been a partnership with the founding Matte family, which can now dedicate themselves holistically to breeding racehorses, since 2003. The cooperation began back then with the wine Albis: The top wine was named after Piero Antinori's eldest daughter: Albiera, nicknamed Albis. The winery now has 100 hectares of the best vineyards and a further increase in quality can be expected. Because whenever Antinori is holding the strings, something great is created, whether in Italy, Hungary or Chile.

Tasting note
Dense, almost impenetrable ruby red. Protruding, pleasing nose. Ripe, intense fruit, fine woods. A wonderfully elegant yet tightly woven aroma blanket. Starting on the palate with wonderful melts, followed by intense berry and roasted aromas. Aromatically lasting on the palate. Decanting is worthwhile!
Culinary recommendation
The icing on the cake to a great steak from the grill.
Vinification
The grapes are processed immediately after arrival at the winery. The fully ripe grapes are macerated for five days at cool temperatures. This is followed by traditional fermentation in French oak for about 20 days. Following fermentation, the two young wines — Cabernet Sauvignon and Carménère — are married and aged for 18 months in French oak barriques.
