About the wine
The winemaker from the Italian winery Zenato has absolutely mastered his craft. Elegance and finesse are the characteristics of this red wine, which originates in the blooming and fertile landscape in Veneto. With this striking Merlot 2015 — Alanera Veronese IGT, the term taste takes on a new meaning. Culinary tip from Flaschenpost team: This Merlot is excellent to serve with poultry or slightly spicy, red meat.
Tasting note
Color: Rich purple Aroma: Intense bouquet of ripe cherries, plums and spices with subtle coffee and tobacco notes. Character: Full-bodied, with velvety tannins. The fruity components are also excellent on the palate. Long, elegant finale.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with red meat, lamb stew, meatloaf and aged cheese.
Vinification
12-month aging, partly in stainless steel tanks and French oak barriques.
