Tasting note
Brilliant ruby red color On the nose, explosive aromas: ripe cherries, violets, tobacco, menthol tobacco, rhubarb. Warm and silky on the palate, rich in flavor and spicy minerality, with elegant tannins.
Culinary recommendation
It goes well with classic Italian dishes such as pappardelle al ragù, lasagna, grilled beef or braised lamb. It is also an ideal accompaniment to aged pecorino or an antipasti platter with salami and olives. Its structure and spiciness go particularly well with strong, hearty dishes.
Vinification
After fermentation, the wine ages for 18 months in 90-hectoliter Slavonian oak barrels and in concrete tanks.
