About the wine
Fertile and blooming landscapes of Tuscany give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Aione conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience. If you want to surprise a wine connoisseur, then with this dominant Cabernet Sauvignon 2015 — Aione IGT! Flaschenpost team tip: Combine this Cabernet Sauvignon with Gruyère burger or ribeye steak.
Tasting note
Vineyard on a south-facing slope, with vines that are over 80 years old in some cases. Approx. 5000 plants/ha. Dark deep purple. Intense and complex fruit with subtle oak wood aromas. Strong structure, fine tannins. Blend of 75% Sangiovese Romagna, Aione Rosso, Aione Precocce, 25% Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Maturation for approx. 12 months in 300 lt. barriques.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with grilled meats, stews, aged cheeses, red meats, game and roasts.
