Tasting note
In addition to Nebbiolo and Sangiovese, the Aglianico grape is one of the finest red wine grapes in Italy. The Aglianico Pietralena has a dense ruby red colour. Ripe fruit aromas of black cherry, blackberry and plum on the nose. Very dense on the palate, with aromas of rosemary, leather and myrtle. Strong and long-lasting in the aftertaste.

Vinification
The Aglianico Pietralena was first produced in 2004. After 2 months of yeast contact, the Aglianico is aged in 225 liter barriques and 500 liter in large oak barrels, followed by 12 to 15 months of bottle aging.
