About the wine
Ad Astra is derived from the Latin motto Per Aspera Ad Astra - “through roughness to the stars.” A saying that also applies to great wines that require laborious and loving work in the vineyard. Wonderfully ethereal with scent of pine, pine, juniper and rosemary. Very spicy, fresh and tasty, but not thin. A balanced and characterful wine from the Tuscan coast.

Tasting note
Intense ruby red, scent of ripe red berries, especially raspberries and cassis, plum and some juniper. A super attractive Tuscan red wine with an astonishing richness of aroma on the palate thanks to the interesting combination of grape varieties. Also very nice as a gift!
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with fried or grilled meat, lamb with Mediterranean seasoning, medium-strength cheeses.
Vinification
Aged for 14 months in fine French oak barrels and tonneaux (including 10% new wood), then in concrete tanks for a few months to harmonize the various grape varieties. Then aged in the bottle for 4 months.
