About the wine
With sensitivity and intuition, the winemaker from the Italian Codicevino winery masters this red wine in the fertile and sunny countryside of Abruzzo. With the powerful red wine 2017 — Abruzzo DOP Montepulciano, nuances and accents are redefined. The Flaschenpöstler promise a culinary experience when you offer this Montepulciano with hard cheese or pasta.

Tasting note
This wine develops its balsamic aroma of spices, blackberries and plums, which add complexity and harmony to the bouquet. Blackberries, black cherries and plums first dominate in the mouth, and then transition to notes of tobacco and cloves. The acidity carried by the tannins and the soft body revive the taste experience and ensure a long finish.

Vinification
Fermentation takes about 7 to 8 days. The wine obtained at the end of fermentation is transferred to steel tanks, where it matures for a few months and then stored in wooden barrels for 8 months.
